Anna Silk

Anna Silk (born January 31 1974) is a Canadian actress most commonly known for her role as Bo from the Showcase TV show Lost Girl. Silk was a native of Fredericton, New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk's parents are Peter who was an academic, and Peter Silk who was known as an accomplished actor, director, producer, playwright, educator, and director of drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna is a bit of a child with most fond memories of watching TV and going to rehearsals for plays. Silk was featured in a variety of commercials when she was a young child. In 1997, she graduated with a bachelor's degree from St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas staged at least two early plays: Seven Menus & The Kitchen. Silk moved out of Toronto in the year 1999 to Los Angeles within the decade following 1999. Seth Cooperman was her future husband when she met him in 2007 during an acting workshop at the Actors' Workshop in Los Angeles. In 2009, they were married civilly in December 2009. In Fredericton on April 10th 2011, they renewed vows after her change of religion to Judaism. Silk Cooperman was born May of 2013, and her son was who was named Samuel Jerome Cooperman. Levi Aaron was her second born baby on May 13, 2016. Silk's work on television is a part of Being Erica as Cassidy Holland and she received the Gemini Awards nod in 2009. The Canadian series Lost Girl cast her as Bo Dennis, the lead character from the succubus. Silk fell pregnant during the final production of the season 3 finale. She announced the news to the viewers during the Showcase's Season Three Pre-Show Special on 6 January 2013. Silk tweeted on June 20th 2013 that the series was returning to the production. The fourth season began on June 4, 2013 with Showcase and Prodigy Pictures. Silk's portrayal of Bo and Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as lovers with the same gender in the show Lost Girl was named one of its all-time Favorite Television Couples in the year 2013 by CNN (Cable News Network) and declared Top Television Couple in the year 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. Due to the show's popularity, Silk has garnered a prominent online following on social media.
